Oncology massage can be highly beneficial for people who have had a cancer diagnosis. Using a combination of Aromatherapy, gentle acupressure and natural product ingredients, a soothing full body massage is given covering back, legs, feet, arms, hands, chest, head and scalp to make this a deeply relaxing experience. Acupressure points linked to the main categories of concerns faced by those affected by cancer are gently pressed to help relieve the symptoms of cancer or side effects of treatments such as chemotherapy, depression, anxiety, nausea, insomnia, fatigue and pain. Natural plant based oils matched to your concerns are blended to enhance your treatment. Soreness from muscles can be eased as well as giving an emotional lift, helping to relieve stress and anxiety. Massage can also help stimulate your digestive system and increase relaxation by encouraging deeper, relaxed breathing. Oncology touch therapy is not a treatment for cancer but can help manage and relieve symptoms and can be given along with your conventional treatment. Adaptions and modifications may be needed during your treatment depending on your stage of health. These may include using a slower lighter touch, how you are positioned on the couch, changes to the length of a session as well as restrictions on areas that can be massaged such as tumour sites or lymph nodes. A face massage and/or scalp massage, foot massage or hand massage can be as equally beneficial and soothing. 60 minute treatment includes a consultation prior to treatment .
